-
For NZ users, this update contains the programs necessary
for the GST changes. After the update, the first time you start Vision on
01/10/2010, it will automatically ask you whether you want to change all
the GST rates to 15%, with separate options to also change the retail
price of Frame, Sundry, Item No, Spec Lenses, Contact Lenses, Lens Extra
and Fitting Fee in Frame Type.
(This GST program does not activate until 01/10/2010, which means you
don't have to wait until the day of 01/10/2010 to run the Vision Update.
You can run the Vision Update a few days or 1-2 weeks before
01/10/2010.)
-
For NZ users, if you want to re-price and re-tag the frames before
01/10/2010, after you run the Vision Update, there is a separate program
in the V2K folder, NZframeRRPincrease, which you can run to increase the
frame retail prices first. Then in Vision, you can "Print Barcode by
Purchase Date". If you leave all the boxes blank, it will give you a
list of all frames in stock. Then you can print barcodes for all the
frames. Otherwise, you can wait until 01/10/2010 to increase the Frame
RRP the same time as you increase the others, and re-print the frame
barcode then.
-
Spectacle Quotes are now highlighted in a different colour.
And you can set up the colour under Maintenance - Dispensing/Frame
Setup. At Background Colour for Quoted Job, right click to select a
colour.
-
In the Spectacle screen, removing the "Quote" out of job
Type will automatically put the original Quote date in the Note box at
the bottom (the Job date will be changed to today's date).
-
For letter templates, there is a new merge field to bring
up Allergy.
-
In the Email Frame Order, it now also contains the
Supplier Stock code and Supplier Barcode.
-
In the Recall List, patients with appointments in the
next number of days are marked with "Appnt". That number of days is
now default to 180 days, which can be changed in Maintenance - Default
Parameters.
 |
|
22/08/2010, Version

In the Sundry Detail screen and the Sundry List, there is

-
When a Sundry product is marked Discontinued, it does not
show up in the Sundry List unless you click onto the "All" button to
show all.
-
The Billing Summary -Yearly graph can now be printed.
-
The Billing Summary by Group graph can also be printed.
-
In the Recall List, patients with appointments in the
next number of days are marked with "Appnt". That number of days is
default to 60 days, which can be changed in Maintenance - Default
Parameters.
-
In the Lens code Setup - Spectacle, there is a new field
for Material.
-
Under Maintenance - Eyetalk Import/Update, the Spectacle
Lens Import/Update will also put in the Material and Refractive Index.
-
In the Eyetalk Import/Update, the Contact Lens
Import/Update will also put in the Water Content.
-
Under Maintenance - Eyetalk Import/Update, you can now
import CL Care & OTC Ophthalmic into Sundry.
-
If a Spectacle record has not been saved yet, it would
not allow you to email the order.
-
Similarly, if a contact lens record has not been saved yet,
it would not allow you to email the contact lens order.
-
If a patient is marked as Deceased, it will be shown as

When Vision runs in computers of low resolution such as
netbook or slate (1024 x 600), the "Customizaable consultation screen"
automatically uses the shorter version that fits in that height (so
would the Spectacle screen and Appointment screen). In other words, all
the Vision screens would fit in netbooks and slates of low resolution of
1024 x 600.
-
For Multiple-branch setup of Vision, the "Frame Due for
Return by Patient" under Frame Approval and the "Frame Approval"
list of a patient now show the Location (when
you scroll to the right).

FramePhoto in V2K, which means it can handle large number of frame
photographs.

For texting SMS, some symbols are now allowed.

it is only a Quote.
-
Under Frame Stock by Barcode, the Scan Frame screen now
has an extra RRP column.

Under Image, WMV can be played by clicking "Edit Previous

for extra information about Lab Due.

-
In the Patient's Spectacle screen, the Spec Due date will
highlight in red if it is before the Lab due. For example. if the lab
rings up informing you that there will be a delay of the lenses, then
you postpone the Lab Due which will make the Spec Due red. This will
prompt you to inform the patient, and then postpone the Spec Due as
well.
-
In the Spectacle No Ready List, the Spec Due date will
also highlight in red if it is before the Lab due.

will email Lens Order as before (which is equivalent to the email option
under the Spectacle menu). It will also email a Frame Order if the
frame's status is flagged as Display Stock = AE or DE.
-
AE Display Stock means "Automatic Email Order" for the
frame to be sent to the practice. (Being a Display Stock means the frame

the stock level remains unchanged after the sale.)
