set up whether certain Login can modify or access Consultation records
(press F5 for Pick List). For example, Logins such as REC and LAB is
recommended to be set up as "N" so that they can view but cannot modify
consultation records. Each optometrist should have his/her own Login,
not just a general one called CON. And they should be set up as "Y",
such that when modification is done to a consultation record, we know
who did the modification (as well as the date of the modification - you
can bring up the Entry Log from the Consult option of the top menu).

goes in.
-
When
Re-downloading HIC Online Reports, you now have an option to request a
different date for a claim. This is useful for old claims that were sent
with the wrong date due to the "Microsoft Time Zone problem":
In the lastest Microsoft update for Windows XP, the Time Zone of your
computer got reset. This may affect the date when Medicare claims are
sent via HIC Online, depending on the time of the day they are sent (for
claims sent in the morning, the date is sent as the previous day). To
fix this Time Zone problem caused by Microsoft:
-
Exit out of
all programs
-
Double-click onto the time at the bottom right corner of the screen
-
Click onto
Time Zone
-
Change it
to a different country (any one), click Apply and then OK
-
Change it
back to the correct one, click Apply and then OK
